Beatricia Sagar

I grew up in the Bronx, N.Y. where an Elevated train traveling very close to our windows cast a shadow of darkness over the neighborhood. At 13, I discovered by walking in a certain way I was able to enter a park where there was, the now famous, New York Botanical gardens which was magical for me. It was there I discovered a world of light that inspired me to draw and paint. Each room had a variety of plant species alive with color, aromas, and different origins. My work gives form to my feelings.
I lived in Soho, N.Y. for many years and now in Miami Beach
