Bonni Farber

Bonni has been engaged in the arts most of her adult life. Raised in Philadelphia, she was educated at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Barnes Foundation, and the Main Line Center for the Arts. She has studied with Moe Brooker , Eydi Lampasona and attended workshops under Wolf Kahn & Janet Fish.

Her initial still life images in watercolor later evolved to abstract acrylic paintings on canvas. From her studies, she has learned to incorporate more complex layering of paint and mark making into her work, imparting her paintings with greater depth and purpose. Exploring how color values and the use of negative space influence the viewer’s eye, continues to be her specific area of focus.

Residing in both New Jersey and South Florida, Bonni spends her time enjoying her family, furthering her education in the arts, and developing new paintings with greater success in her areas of expertise. Creating with spontaneity and originality is her challenge to herself.
