Bill Enck

I have been a sculptor for nearly 50 years. I believe this is a gift I was born with. Working in my studio takes me into another zone which I enjoy to no end. My work develops at a rapid pace, intuitively moving through different phases and materials as it leads me to new territories. The pieces themselves awaken creative energy that leads me into new and thrilling directions. Surprising myself is the most excitement I get from working and is what keeps me energized and moving forward. Most of the work in my present studio has been done in the last 20 years. I am continually working on multiple pieces at once, leaving me with a large body of work to be shared. Viewing my sculpture in my studio setting helps to make sense of the continuity of my work. On instagram I attempt to show my diversity, continuity and growth. The true impact of my sculpture is seeing it in my studio. Each individual piece can stand its ground within the larger, extensive body of work.
