ARTIST STATEMENT
After studying art at the University of Southern Mississippi, I’ve been involved in a wide range of Fine Art genres, everything from painting, printmaking, photography, collage, mixed media and some small sculptures to my current style of bold and colorful acrylic paintings with all shapes and entities outlined in precise black outlines. I place a heavy emphasis on color balance and overall composition and I see shapes and form and how colors interact and play off of other colors. I concentrate on that aspect of a painting and I strive to successfully pull that off in my own paintings. My work is included in a number of private and corporate collections and I’ve been affiliated with galleries throughout the country. Currently I’m represented by Oddfellows Gallery in Hattiesburg, MS.
