Carmen Hurtado Pérez

Visual artist and poet who develops exhibition projects blending poetry and visual arts to create additional semantic layers.

Her projects incorporate various mediums such as photography, painting, drawing, and sculpture, intertwined with written word.

There is a tension between figurative and abstract representation in her work.

She explores three-dimensionality through embroidery, textiles, and paper.

Drawing from a universe of images, texts, and personal diaries, she reinterprets narratives around MEMORY.

Her conceptual work challenges aspects of existence and the human condition, including identity, the passage of time, nature, origins, death, and love.

Multidisciplinary training. I studied in Blake Collage of London, Art School of New York and differents schools in Barcelona as Massana, Llotja art school, IEFC, Ruidophoto ( Photographics school), Iart, ( teorical art school), Experimentem amb l'art.

My works have been featured in museums, festivals and galleries in Spain and Europe.

As Museum de la mediterránea, Museum de Tortosa, Museum of paper in capellades, Arco madrid, Artslibris, Fundación Miro, Chipre Cervantes Institute.

As a writer i have been publique my first poem book by Luces de Galibo publishing.
