Christelle Koekemoer

I am Christelle Koekemoer. Born and raised in South Africa. I am a self taught artist and the mediums I currently use to express my art is pen, chalk and charcoal. I spontaneously started to create pieces a couple of month ago while I was sitting outside watching my kids play. I think I had a little of the mommy blues and I felt like I needed to channel my bad and negative energy into something to uplift my spirit and mind. The drawing just came naturally and it was not something that I needed to think about doing, I just started to do it. I like to create pieces which brings meaning and symbolism to people who buy my art and really resonates with that specific person. Not all my art has messages connected to them but most of my pieces do have a message. I hope to achieve great things with my art and leave a positive impact through my art to those who buy them.

I completed my diploma in travel and tourism with Varsity College
I completed my certificate in Drama with Oakfields College
I completed my diploma in Interior design with the Interior Design Institue.

I have 2 pieces which will be exhibited in Indigo Creations art Gallery up until 13 February 2021.
