Paola Scapin Corte

Paola is a venetian professional lampworker working and living in Asolo. Painting is her second passion. She combines these two arts to create works where the glass elements are the main protagonists and the paintings are their stages.Her main inspiration comes from nature: flowers, insects and clouds.

She attended humanities secondary school and graduated in languages at Ca’Foscari University, but she was always fond of arts and handcraft.
In 2006-2007 attended an european social fund glass lampwork course at Abate Zanetti school in Murano
In 2007 she took a week course with the glass master Igor Balbi to learn the basics of pipe blown goblets and off mandrel techniques.
She took several private courses on oil painting.
