Artistic career
As a teenager I was interested in body shapes,
I drew many nudes with charcoal, about 2 meters high,
and various shapes modeled with different materials.

In my first job I learned how to use modeling wax and started making small sculptures out of wax.

In 2003 I began my career as a freelance artist in the “Sinworks” studio. After moving to Varel, I renamed the studio “Dangast-Bronze”.

My influences

In the beginning my work was dark and morbid and based on the Gothic world, which I felt connected to for almost two decades. I deal with physical decay and the tension between seduction and damnation.

Little by little, a field of tension emerged between the beauty and clarity of Pre-Raffelite painting on the one hand and an aesthetic of decay from the Gothic world on the one hand.

I have always been interested in mythical and spiritual figures. The longing for power over the physical is visible in my work. I studied medieval art and worked on new, contemporary variations of the Memento Mori.

Since 2003 Worked exclusively as a freelance artist. First implementations of my own designs in silver and stone.
Founding of the “Sinworks” studio, first orders from home and abroad, hand-modeled wax Sculptures hot casted in metal.
