I am the daughter of an artist so I have been painting all my life. I have always been drawn to people and their stories. My paintings are about bypassing what we see and revealing authentic feelings. They are a moment in time but based on looking past the first glance to begin to uncover the layers that are built up over time. My paintings are painted in detail then covered in washes, paper, plastic or any material that causes the viewer to have to look past the surface.
