My Grandfather was an Artist, so I was taught to draw and paint from before I can remember.
After leaving school in London, I went on to do a foundation course in Art. My favourite part of this was life drawing and painting and this has formed a practise that has continued ever since and still forms the basis of my work.
The other aspect that interested me was the Philosophy of Art - Aesthetics - and so I went to do a degree in Philosophy at the University of Sussex, specialising in Art.
I live and work in London, where I keep a studio. Charcoal and pastel drawings and oil painting are my preferred media and I like to bring semi-abstract elements to play in the predominantly figurative work that I do.
