Dovile Bagdonaite

Dovilė Bagdonaitė (born 1991) has received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Vilnius Academy of Arts, Department of Monumental Painting. Currently she is pursuing a PhD in Art. The artist aims to explore conscious naivety and lawful rebellion structures, as well as forms of visual writing and written images. The author’s works are installation-based, combining different techniques and experiences, personal stories, small-sized mosaics, the “aesthetics of garbage”, and transparent easel painting. Her works can also be found in the public spaces of Vilnius.
