My artist name is Lim Anna. I am of Chinese descent, born and raised in the Philippines, and is now living in Canada. When I was a child, I am already very fond of art. I always draw sketches of celebrities and people around me. Due to life’s situation, I did not get a chance to study fine arts at school. But later took up fashion designing and became a couturier. After my retirement, I started to learn painting on my own, and have been actively doing for almost 15 years now. Lately, I am also learning photography and poetry.

Being exposed to Chinese, Filipino and Canadian cultures, I have grown to embrace the different arts and living from the three countries. As a self-taught artist, I tried to experiment on different mediums and explore new techniques through observation and research. I am passionate about anything that comes into my mind that is why my creations and topics were endless. My work were based on everything I see and feel at the moment. It can be in the form of realism, abstract, landscape, or still life. My inspiration comes purely from “Love, Art and Life”. Hoping to be able to inspire others and connect with people all over the world from generation to generation through the “Power of Art”.
