Fatima Mian

Fatima Mian is a self-taught Photographer and Painter who was born in London, where she lives and works.She has a BA in Graphic Design and is passionate about all things that fuel creativity. Creating art, whether in the form of Photos or Painting allows her a moment of calm in her otherwise hectic London life and to transform the seemingly ordinary into something spectacular.

Fatima discovered her love for painting through her photography. Taking a break from her other passion of working with children, she embarked on a journey of self- discovery, travelling the world with her camera as her companion. She found paying close attention to her surroundings in search of a perfect photograph gave her a sense of stillness and freedom. “By immersing myself in areas of natural beauty, I learnt how to create abstractions from my experiences of the landscape – associating not only shapes and colours of what was in front of me, but the personal connection I had with the environment I was in.”
