Gerrit Oppelland-Hampel

Born in Celle, Germany. Painting for me is to undertake an adventure tour travelling through the realm of colours, senses and rhythm. Spontaneity, authenticity and emotion are my key interest. I am mainly attracted in the emotional quality and the atmosphere of a painting. I want my paintings to bring a smile on the viewers face and good feelings. My painting are very colourful and they add to an atmosphere of joy and energy. They are food for the soul.
I am very much influenced by the German expressionist and the “Tunisreise” of Macke and Klee.
