Helen Dixon

Helen has long been fascinated by the continuous movement of energy in nature, constant and without resolution, each emanation wholly interdependent on all others.


Using archive media from the National Meteorological Library and Archive and her own photographs and observational drawings as reference she considers the fundamental character of phenomena that are inherently elusive, transitory and without shape.


In recent works she describes the detail of a single wave in isolation, one momentary formation in an ongoing process of continual transformation.

Helen works from her studio at Bainbridge Print Studios in South London, where she is also Studios Manager. She graduated from Chelsea College of Arts in 2013 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art after completing a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Drawing pathway) at Camberwell College of Arts in 2010.


Helen has exhibited widely across the UK and abroad. In 2018 her work could be seen on the walls at the Wells Art Contemporary in Somerset, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in London and at the 250th Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Art, amongst others.
