Rita Kohel

Born 1978 in Bogota/ Colombia I live, love and work as a freelance designer and artist in Hamburg/Germany since 2001.
My artwork is versatile- using all kinds of styles and techniques
I am constantly exploring new ways of creating images.
Since my participation in the artsquat 'Gängeviertel' 2009 in Hamburg I am developing the series 'fantastic city scapes'.

After finishing school I went to Schuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo/Italy for one year,then studied three semesters art history, psychoanalysis and cultural anthropology in Frankfurt/Main, Germany. From march 2001- april 2006 I studied illustration and communications design in Hamburg.
Since then I work here as a freelance graphic designer for online and print media.
Last year I startet to do free artistic mixed media collages on canvas inspired from the art squat 'Gängeviertel' I am part of since 2009
