Behind each artist there is another figure, his double, the same, different or deformed, which preserves his essence, his personal conception of the world, his poetics.
Terranera, is the pseudonym behind which the artist Jacopo Michelangelo Santucci hides, a destiny in the name, born in 1981, on 11 May in Atri, in the province of Teramo, one of the oldest cities of art in the Abruzzo Adriatic .
Son of Primo Santucci, painter and sculptor who passed away in 1999 and of Paola Santi, painter and teacher of art history, Jacopo lives early with the behavioral rules deriving from the experience and study of painting.
Since childhood, he shows a spontaneous ease towards any activity aimed at creative forms and aesthetic expression. The first attempt at dialogue and artistic communication dates back to the age of 5, when he set up his first exhibition in his home garage.
In the following years a visceral interest in music also grows with emphasis that will lead Jacopo to a consequent activity as a musician, playing in various formations of the Pescara area, a passion that over time will always remain in a curious balance with his activity as a painter.
