Jennifer Tymowska

Bold colours that vibrate with energy are the trademark qualities of Jennifer's art. Always fascinated by colour – from an early age in her native Australia to her current life based in Europe, it plays a daily role in Jennifer's perception of the world. High-quality acrylics with deep pigmentation, fluorescent paints, ink marks and gold leaf are often used. The best compliment that Jennifer receives on a frequent basis is that her paintings bring people Joy.
Initially inspired by the Impressionist and Post-impressionist painters, the intense colours of the Fauvists confirmed her pathway. Jennifer is primarily self-taught but also has enjoyed experimenting and discovering new techniques with classes and artist groups.
Travelling always provides new inspiration – particulary a constant reconnection with Nature and the outdoors. A recent return to the Mediterranean region of France with its stunning play of light and rawness has provided new energy. Hot summers, turquoise sea, ancient olive trees and the lively Mediterranean spirit provide an injection of vitality.
