Joanna Burda

I am dedicated to painting which is my true passion and, last but not least, my work. I enjoy working with colour. What never ceases to fascinate me is structure; I value abstraction and realism. I do not want to be preoccupied with only one style, format or technique. Although my diploma was concerned with abstraction and I intended to remain true to those ideas, my interests evolved over time and now I am back to the origin – the good old drawing, former painting techniques; hence an equally important stage of mural painting in my carrier.
I live and work in Wrocław, Poland and you are welcome to visit my studio.

Between 1996 and 2001 I completed studies at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
I was granted an honours degree having completed studies in Aleksander Dymitrowicz Studio; I did diploma drawings in Nicole Nascov Studio.
In 1995 I graduated from the School of Music (2nd the classical guitar studies.
One year later, I was awarded the Graphic Design Workshop diploma of the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Zamość.
