Jo Knight

Jo is a creative fine art photographer based in the English Lake District. Despite being self-taught and only taking up photography in 2013, Jo has been awarded the title of Master of Print by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain and her images have been exhibited both in print and online around the world.

A multi-gold medal winning artist, Jo’s pictures are based in nature and the human experience, often marrying her love of wildlife with her portrayal of life’s challenges through the eyes of women. She uses composite photography to create distinctive narratives celebrating girls and telling powerful stories. Every part of Jo’s composites are photographs taken by her and edited together to form a truly unique image. She sells exclusively through Saatchi Art.

Jo holds photographic distinctions from the Photographic Society of America, Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. She also has a BSc in Business, Finance & Business Law.

In 2020 Jo was the winner of a global photography competition run by the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique to commemorate the Covid-19 pandemic. The competition was open to FIAP’s 2 million members, receiving entries from 90 countries across 5 continents and was endorsed by 17 of the world's Masters of Photography.

Jo has been featured in several photography articles and appeared on the cover of the Photographic Society of America’s Journal in July 2020.
