“To preserve a certain moment in time, to deconstruct the reality of it into brushstrokes and marks is at the core of my practice.”
— Juliane Kellersmann
German born Juliane Kellersmann lives and works in the UK, between London and Hertfordshire. Her work is a patchwork formed of layers, depth and distance. In her early beginnings Juliane extensively studied everything monochrome, evolving into landscape and its abstracts... It was then that she realised the calming and balancing nature of colours. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Enschede, Netherlands, an admiration for the medium of painting and a craving for the process itself was born. Her work is best described as something that emerges out of the process, fully welcoming the element of coincidence and intuition. Julianes home studio is located in Hertfordshire from where she creates a large range of paintings going out to collectors both in the UK and internationally.
