My artistic work can be placed into artistic approach of “paradigm of data processing”, or its visualization. Therefor it is entirely irrelevant who process or make the visualization physically. Namely my intervention is on the side of the bare choice of composition, data fragments, their translation in a visual or artistic medium. The works are a mixture of both particularity of the my everyday life, which is not necessarily linked only to my professional work. However I very often responds to expectations concerning the status of the artist-sculptor. The artwork is short, a hybrid situation - can be quite banal or personal, reflection on the environment and the world in which I am mounted directly, as well as the specifics of global and local artistic context.

Jure Markota, was born in Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia in year 1985. After Gymnasium he started to visit Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He studied sculpture under supervision of four mentors, Dušan Tršar, Lujo Vodopivec, Jože Barši and Alen Ožbolt. In year 2011 he graduated under the mentorship of prof. Alen Ožbolt. He worked with Slovenian artists Mirsad Begič, Dragica Čadež, Alen Ožbolt, Tobias Putrih ... etc. He got an Academy award for special art achievements . Beside sculpture he also practice in painting, new media, architecture, photography and theory.
