Karen Haub

Inspired by the landscapes of Coastal California, Karen enjoys spending time outdoors, painting in oil, and considers her plein air work to be a tribute to the enduring, ethereal essence of the natural landscape untouched by industrialization and urban sprawl.
The brushwork, mark making, and dripping techniques she uses in her mixed media studio work suggest the passage of time, and is a poignant reflection of her concerns about the delicate balance between humanity, technology and nature.

Karen Haub is a Southern California based mixed media artist drawn to intuitive landscapes and figures. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and has shown her work in numerous galleries in Southern California. Karen has sold work throughout the U.S. and internationally since 2014.

The collaborative work that she does with found object artist, Lynn Dodge is focused on bringing awareness to viewers about the destruction of the environment and environmental issues we all face as inhabitants of a dying planet.
