Kelley Albert

I enjoy creating all types of art with a bent on the abstract. It’s the tools I use that vary—a camera, an ipad, a paint brush, fabric cutter, or on my computer in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I am most interested in using these tools to create various textures, patterns, colors, and/or combinations of them. The possibilities are endless, keeping me curious, challenged and engaged in the process.

I’d like to think that I am just starting out, but I’ve been practicing my craft for quite some time. I bought a B&W darkroom with money from a summer job that I set up in my childhood home; was introduced to graphic design in high school and that set me off on a path in the commercial arts; I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. I’ve made my living as a designer ever since, but fine art has always held a special place in my heart.
