Halyna Barannikova

My principles in an art are very simple. I write that surrounds me now, and that I remember from the past.

I - Russian, was born in Turkmenia, I live in Ukraine. There is my work in the border of these three cultures. I do not know how influenced on me each of cultures.

Probably, Turkmenia gave to me the surprizing colour, Russia, is spiritual sources, and Ukraine - school of painting, creative environment and possibility to realize itself. I try to save originality and originality of each of these cultures giving to me, as to the artist, unlimited source of inspiration.

Therefore one of themes of my painting are remembrances, foremost, about Turkmenia, where my childhood passed, became the enchanting spectacle of clean and ringing paints in my pictures.

From 1966 to 1970 studied in Ashkhabad artistic school. Turkmenistan.
From 1970 to 1976 studied on the faculty of painting of Ukrainian National Academy of arts (workshop of the Folk artist of Ukraine of professor V.Shatalin).
From 1976 of beginning public, creative and exhibition activity.
