Leticia Bernadac

Leticia Bernadac was born in Durango, Mexico (1967). "My pencils and crayons were my best toys while growing up". Her admiration for the large paintings and vast murals she saw in her town's government buildings made a great influence on her to pursue an artistic career later in life.

Bernadac has a profound desire to express the "big emotions- tradition, joy, fear". She explores multiple painting techniques and employs a juxtaposition approach in order to create a desirable sense of her work. Capturing the soul through well-formed confident brushstrokes is the artist's devotion.
She is producing multiple series of paintings devoted to subjects such as bullfighting, portraiture, abstracts, nature, and the animal kingdom through mediums such as oils, handmade prints, and sculptures.

Leticia's contemporary work explores an array of cheerful color palettes and lots of dynamic strokes for a more cohesive look. Through a mix of rich materials such as gold and silver leaf, cold wax, and handmade paper, her artworks exhibit color combinations inspired by her love of nature.

Bernadac began her professional artist education at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts in Kymenlaakso E Repin in Kotka, Finland, where she trained closely under Vladimir Lipetz from 2010-2011. Her studies focused on classical art with daily work in the areas of figurative painting heavily grounded in the old master's tradition, Russian techniques, human anatomy, drawing, perspective, and composition.

In 2012, Bernadac opened her Studio/Gallery and began exhibiting her work in the metro Atlanta area. The artist has exhibited in numerous group shows in Georgia, at the Cobb Marietta Art Museum, and the Booth Art Museum. She has collectors around the USA, Europe, and Mexico.
Part of Bernadac's career path as an artist has always included helping other fellow artists. She is a Board member of AAG, a local Non-Profit organization that fosters growth and gives opportunities to emerging artists in Alpharetta, Georgia.
