Lisa Izvozchikova

About the Artist
Born in Saint Petersburg and currently based in France, I am a multidisciplinary artist exploring the intersection of memory, perception, and atmosphere through painting, drawing, and photography. Rooted in the timeless principles of figurative art, my work examines how light and texture shape emotional resonance, often blurring the line between realism and abstraction.

With a background in photography and design, my artistic journey has been deeply influenced by my exposure to classical art, beginning with early studies at the State Hermitage Museum. My practice draws from personal experience and historical aesthetics, particularly the post-war aesthetics of the late 1960s and 1970s, which continue to shape contemporary visual culture.

Through a combination of direct painting, photographic overlays, and tonal studies, I seek to create images that transcend mere representation—offering moments of contemplation and connection. My work extends into scenographic projects, where I reconstruct the aesthetics of past eras as immersive experiences.
