My artist’s tools are natural charcoal and compressed charcoal. I use these to model the human form on paper. In addition light and shadow allow me to guide the viewer’s eye over and around the human form as if it was a three dimensional sculpture. My work is a continuous study of the various forms of the human body. Drawing is about the pleasure of seeing beauty in the mundane and in turn being able to depict an alchemy between my sketch, my subject and the moment.
