Geoff Weiser

The Macro Dinero series by Geoff Weiser showcases demonetized bank notes from different countries throughout different time periods. Re-contextualizing the money through cropping and scaling allows the viewer to appreciate the design without recognizing the original source. The prints are given a new life separate from their identity as currency.

Geoff graduated college with a degree in graphic design and had a successful career as an art director at many of the top advertising agencies in Philadelphia where his work earned him numerous awards over the next ten years. In 2001 he and his wife co-founded the home fragrance brand Skeem Design where he was the creative director. His products and package designs were featured in many prominent publications including Elle Decor, The New York Times, Vogue, GQ, and The Wall Street Journal. In 2021, after 20 years, they sold the business allowing him more time to focus on his artwork.
