From 1977 to 1997 worked under name Maija Grinfelde.
1971 – graduated from class of Physics, Riga State Gymnasium No 1.
1977 – graduated from department of Textile Art Design at Art Academy of Latvia.
2002 – graduated from University of Latvia, Faculty of Theology, with teaching qualifications in Religion and Ethics
2003 – Art Academy of Latvia. Master of Arts.
Participated in exhibitions since 1977.
