Mary Badalian

I'm an artist who works primarily with embroidery, using this tactile and intricate medium to explore the profound theme of vulnerability. Through the delicate and often painstaking process of embroidery, I delve into the raw and authentic aspects of the human experience. My practice is a reflection of my belief that vulnerability is a powerful catalyst for self-discovery and connection with others. Embroidery, with its intimate and tactile qualities, allows me to convey the complexities of our reality in a way that words often cannot. It's through this medium that I seek to create a space for viewers to contemplate, empathize, and engage with the deeper layers of their own emotions.
