Natalia Colom

Born in Barcelona but established in London where she has lived since 2001,Natalia Colom is a figurative painter in the original sense of the term but that also explores abstract expressionism and expands beyond portraiture to include all representational art.Her fashion background is apparent in some of the artworks and strongly influence her work and her bold use of colour. Other recurring themes are the exploration of the male-female interaction, the narrow division that exists between fears and desire and the ambivalent relationship with power,ego, violence, and eroticism.
