Nora Avelleyra Lieberman is an American-born painter who loves examining the intersection of vibrant color, thick paint, and dynamic and dramatic texture. Through this exploration, she seeks to translate the nuanced emotions attached to illness, identity, memory loss, and sisterhood. She experiments with color and texture to produce abstract depictions of her relationships with these experiences, both past and present. using acrylic paint and heavy body molding paste, she aims to build fascinating landscapes for her viewer to investigate and consider.
