Pao Chutijirawong

Pao wants to connect herself to the surroundings which have been constantly taken for granted. To understand the reason for one’s existence, she has to create art to connect to a greater thing than herself for possibly, an answer.

While ink and watercolor are her main medium, she also loves experimenting with a wide range of variables such as leaves, sunlight, movements from videos or wind, textiles and unwanted objects(trash). Pao is aesthetically inspired by different sources for example, Thai traditional temple painting, Chinese ink and porcelain, the ZERO movement of western Europe in post WWII and many others.
