Patricia Del Monaco

My painting style, has been characterized over the years, through research and a cultural and spiritual insight into the customs and traditions of ancient civilizations, which have always fascinated me, leading me to travel around the World. I could study and experience up close the various artistic and painting techniques, used by the Plateau Indians of Yucatan, with the preparation of colors, stimulating me in research and experimentation. The history of Byzantium, with the study of the mosaics of Ravenna, influenced my brushstroke on the canvas, and the experience gained in Australia, through the Aboriginal art, it started my first cycle of works dedicated to the theme of the Trees. Ottoman art, I was inspired by the cycle of works dedicated to tapestries, like the Damascus Gardens. In addition, I am fascinated by the characters of Greek Mythology, and of course from the Baroque style (Rococo), with its great elegance. I conclude by saying that the various artistic cultures, contaminating my art, have characterized my artistic language. .

Patricia del Monaco nasce a Roma nel 1969, dove attualmente vive e lavora come pittrice e poetessa.
Figlia d’arte nel campo della musica e del Teatro, frequenta la scuola del mosaico di Ravenna.
Il suo percorso artistico inizia con la ricerca e lo studio culturale e spirituale sulle usanze e costumi delle antiche civiltà aborigene. La sua sperimentazione la porta a viaggiare, studiando da vicino le antiche culture e le varie tecniche pittoriche. In Messico, apprende le tecniche per la preparazione dei colori usati dagli Indios dell'Altopiano dello Yucatan.
È l'inizio di un'intensa ricerca personale, di un percorso artistico che porterà alla definizione di uno stile originale, altamente riconoscibile, che definisce "primordiale".
Ha esposto il suo primo ciclo di opere dedicate al tema degli alberi, presso la galleria Tafe-Perth in Australia.
Al suo ritorno, si trasferisce a Ravenna per studiare il mosaico e l'arte bizantina, esponendo le sue opere per Amnesty International al Palazzo della Provincia e ai Magazzini del Sale.
Tra il 2005 e il 2008 frequenta la scuola del Maestro jaber Alwan, esponendo le sue opere, nell'atelier del Maestro.
