Charles Harrop-Griffiths

London based artist / photographer / filmmaker.

Charles's art incorporates graphic and figurative elements, within linear-inspired / illusionistic compositions. Subject matter varies across an interest in the city's constant regeneration, to the obsession of media content in today's society, and the impact too much information can have on one subject. Through photography, painting (acrylics / aerosol / oils), film and projection, Charles looks into the effects of technology, and the rise of uncensored information, and how it has continued to effect our understanding on certain subjects.

Inspired by Georgy Ostretsov, Chris Ofili, Sol LeWitt, Bridget Riley, Jenny Holzer, The Chapman Brothers, Swoon, and more classical painters including Caravaggio and Manet.
