ABOUT THE ARTWORK

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

As a kid my brothers and I spent hours watching movies like "Bloodsport" and "Big Trouble in Little China," and playing video games like "Street Fighter II". This painting is an ode to the martial arts movies and games of the 90s.

Art has been my language since childhood, a constant companion long before I picked up a paintbrush professionally. After spending 14 years in marketing, I made the bold decision to pursue painting full-time - transforming a lifelong passion into my primary form of expression. As a self-taught artist, my work draws inspiration from comic books, Saturday morning cartoons, and urban contemporary artists like Ernie Barnes. My paintings explore the beautiful complexity of human experience. Like a well-loved stuffed animal with its visible scars and carefully mended wounds, or a child fighting to preserve the innocence of play in a world increasingly dominated by screens, each piece tells a story of resilience and the profound beauty of uninterrupted childhood. I'm not interested in creating art that requires a complex interpretation. The greatest compliment I've ever received is simple: "Your art makes me happy." That's my entire artistic mission. Each painting is an invitation to smile, to remember, to reconnect with the unbridled hope we often leave behind in childhood. My work is a celebration of joy - pure and unfiltered. It's about finding beauty in our imperfections and remembering that our stories, like a treasured childhood toy, are meaningful exactly because of the marks we've collected along the way.
