I develop ideas, concepts and situations. Inevitably, I am trying to communicate something of my own brain's perception to the narrative of the species but I try to make it fun. The final result is never photo-realistic and it is quite abstract. I like the process to be to some degree accidental. Often there is a story or a message underlying. There can be photographic technique influences in my work. I find the internet important for inspiration. || Fav Media: A lot of my painting is on canvas but I am using a lot of watercolour paper at the moment as well. I normally work on a large scale of preference. I get bold colour but I am trying to veer away from a natural palate. Acrylic is good as I hate paint fumes and lends itself to a faster workflow. I wish I had the patience for oils. Though in the hot weather I can use oils out of doors. There are some colours I gravitate towards, like perhaps red and violet and orange and yellow. I often add collage elements to my works. Pastels can sometimes add something. I often favour a lot of strong colour and strong contrasts but my work is always evolving and I am doing some slightly different stuff just lately. A lot of canvasses get painted over when they my methods are changing! || I also do photography and I began to paint as I wanted to create in addition another kind of end result. || You can find me on varioius social media platforms. e.g.
