A love for horses is what first spurred Rebekah Griffith on to master her artistic skills. At a young age, she would sit for hours with her doodle sketch practicing to capture the challenging proportions of the horse. The passions she had to create led her to Western State University in beautiful Gunnison, Colorado where she graduated with a BFA in painting in 2016.
Today, Rebekah lives in the Denver area, painting and exhibiting. Rebekah continues to be inspired by a childlike love and passion for animals and the outdoors. Her work is rooted in joy, celebration and peace. Through expressive and bold painterly techniques, Rebekah uses oil paint to capture wildlife in the landscape. Rebekah believes a key element in creating authentic, strong work is to strictly use personal photo references to paint from, which are abundantly found when living in Colorado! Encouragement, warmth, and life are Rebekah’s desire to share with others through her passion to create.
