Renato’s artwork of texturized abstract paintings is created using a repetitive and labour-intensive technique of applying multiple layers of paint, bringing to life powerful
and mesmerizing works of art. This is represented in his Brainwaves, Faith and Nomina series.
Born in 1974 in Brasilia, Brazil, Photographer and filmmaker, Renato, grew up in a family with deep rooted spiritual practices. By the age of 11, he had engaged in an
unconventional education in the unusual such as parapsychology, ESP, mediumship and astral projection. He felt drawn to the unseen and began drawing to help him delve
into other dimensions. These sketches always stayed with him and had a huge significance when they presented again through the Inner Peace and Spiritual Journey series.
Renato immersed himself into his spiritual journey where he discovered how to transmute his life experiences into captivating expression on canvas on an even deeper
and more profound level.
