Robina Yasmin

I am a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, who is passionate about painting. I have been a professional artist for the last 20 years and have had numerous solo and mixed shows with my Galleries. As my family come from Kenya an interest in African wildlife has always been with me. In the main I paint animals and children on the beach which I love and I am very fortunate that people seemed to like what I do, my work is in many private collections all over the world. I enjoy all kind of painting and drawing mediums but especially oils. As a child I was given a beautiful set of oil paints it was here that my first experiments with this wonderful medium started. My aim has always been to produce work that is ultimately considered contemporary. Clean lines, strong compositions, clear backgrounds to capture and define forms to create narratives that the viewer can relate to. Light is always very important in my painting, it is light that I find most inspirational about any beautiful location or subject.
