Romy Scheroder

I am an Indo-Trinidadian working in a practice which encompasses sculpture, outdoor installation, drawing and photography. My works use mixed materials to elicit work that speaks to surreal states of being. I have been awarded an art grant from the Rockefeller Foundation for a public art commission and have installed public work on Governor’s Island, NY. My studio residencies include 1st Biennial 2011, Bronx Museum NY, Vermont Studio Center, VT, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council - Swing Space. NY, Triangle Art. Brooklyn, NY.

My work has been documented in publications and have critical mentions to include Artfile Magazine. Suggested Encounters, 2014, Composite Arts Magazine. No. 10 Interact. I earned my MFA at The University of the Arts, Philadelphia. Studio Art, Sculpture.
