Roxanne Skene

At an early age I became interested in creating art. I started painting in my grandfathers sign shop and carving driftwood which I would find along the beach. When I was in high school I begged my father for a book about the old masters and took as many classes in art as I could. I have continued this passion throughout my life. My subjects have been the things I find beautiful. I enjoy My family, friends, my animals and the breath taking views of the ocean an mountains around me. It all inspires me.

I am a graduate of Art Center College of Design.
I furthered my educational The California Art Institute
as well as the Otis Art Institute. I worked as a illustrator before deciding to express myself through fine art.

I have been Juried into numerous CAC shows including:
Several California Art Club Gold Medal Shows where I have received the recognition of an honorable mention. I have also shown my work in the CAC On Location shows in Malibu California. I have been awarded a first place medal at Pepperdine University"s Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art, and I was a finalist in several of the prestigious International Arc Salon. I have been invited to show in The Westlake Village Art Guild open juried show and Various Malibu Art Association exhibitions.
