Nataliia Satsyk

Born 1984 in the North of Ukraine Natalia Satsyk absorbed both the nordic palette and the Byzantine sublime. She paints not from observation, but from a dream. Some people call it faith. She paints to fly. Her works elevate, liberate, go inward.

JUST THE CORE: "What I paint I hide behind many layers, textures, scratches, colors in order to see only just the core of a matter - not the many concrete details but its substance, its spirit".

Restless movements disclose passion and dramas that are hidden behind the subdued achromatic coloring. Dense painting retains the initial transparency and the innocency of a blank canvas.

MEDITATION: Painted in torn and tremulous strokes, the images thrive to capture all even most awkward movements of the longing, praying, blissful, enlightened soul - a sincere self-reflexive meditation.
