Susan's sculptures are cast by foundries from her original stone carvings or clay models into bronze or aluminium.
She also casts her work herself into cast marble. A technique she developed early in her career, to make her sculptures more affordable. These are in three finishes: pure white marble; onynx (black) marble; amber (terracotta coloured) marble.
Her method of painting in oil is mostly applied with a palette knife, which is similar to modelling a sculpture in clay.
A fascination with colour is the driving force in her painting. How juxtapositions of certain colours creates different effects and mood changes.
1st Class Hons. Degree in Art & Design, University of Chichester
A large number of her sculptures are in a Private Collection in New York. Others are in Canada, South Africa, Germany, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and the UK. Many more drawings, paintings and sculptures can be viewed at her home by appointment.
