Tomas Morch was born and grew up during 1980's in Czechoslovakia in era of falling communist regime. Since his childhood Tomas has been exposed and influenced by artworks, mostly oil paintings by his father VLADIMIR, who mainly copied pictures from VINCENT VAN GOGH,CLAUDE MONET and other expressionist. Tomas has a passion for drawing since a young age as a hobby and realised he is keen for abstract expressionism.
As Tomas once described: "back in the days, when I grew up the previous generations of people and their political mentally seemed to have a GREYISH colour characteristic, ruled and controlled by Communist government for almost 40 years"
Tomas in his mid t twenties moved to London, where he currently lives and has worked over 15 years, which left a huge impact on him and his creativity.
His own words are: " I simply reflect in contrary, the greyish colours of those times in very vivid, vibrant and joyful colours, which I received in my perception, from London's urban cosmopolitan society"
Another large source of influence for his artwork; Tomas gained from martial arts, mainly Karate, Aikido and Taekwondo, with he trained and practised together with his father from early young age.
