Trudy Boos

Born in Haarlem (1966), the Netherlands. Since childhood I've always been painting, drawing, and also worked with wood, textile and stone. I've chosen an academic trajectory in political science, history and international relations, since at that time I considered pursuing a career in art a 'risk'. Still, alongside my career I kept painting and creating, attending art schools and workshops. After some years in Bucharest, Romania, I moved in 2005 to Catalonia, where art and interior design were my main occupations. Since a year I'm a full time artist.
Several times a year I'm in Bucharest, for friends and the vibrant international cultural life. Catalonia is the opposite. All nature, silence, 5 minutes from a beautiful lake, near serene beaches, the sea, the Pyrenees, and just half an hour from France. Enjoying the diversity in my life, the advantages and sometimes struggling with being a voluntary migrant, looking for home away from home.
