Victorious Mcleod

Victorious Faith McLeod is a living figurative artist and student working and studying in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida. His goal is to pursue the classical tradition, while creating a fresh, contemporary philosophy to express through his work. He is currently en route to study at Chiaroscuro Studio of Art, to acquire a certificate in advanced painting, and Florida Atlantic University to gain a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy. His most recent work isdivided into 3 series: The Navel Gazer, Amber Matter, and Recompense.

The Navel Gazer series is a series of self portraits, using the artists own face as a method of figurative and spiritual exploration. The concepts may relate to the artist personally, or the pieces could be used to express a theme as a whole. Many grand artists such as Rembrandt, Diego Rivera, and Lucien Freud practice this tradition.

Amber Matter is a series of paintings used to study the effects of any mixture of a color with Indian Yellow.
