Vidya Lakshmi Nikesh Anand

I am a self-taught,Multi-disciplinary visual artist born in India and moved to Texas, USA in 2020. Art in many forms has always been part of my life.
I explored arts from a very young age, learnt and practiced many forms of art. My maternal grandmother has been a great influence on me. I had learnt embroidery, knitting and crocheting from my grandmother which helped hone, my designing and drawing skills.Watching my mother weave baskets and getting trained in South-Indian classical music has also been a great inspiration to my art.
I graduated in Business Administration and worked as a Human Resources professional for more than decade whilst practicing art and displaying in various shows in many countries. I quit my corporate stint in 2016 to be a Full time Artist and Art Instructor. Meanwhile I also pursued Masters in Visual Arts and graduated.
I find the world of Science, Psychology and Mathematics fascinating and my artworks expresses my interpretation on these subjects. I work in multiple mediums like Oils, Mosaics, Pastels and Color Pencils.
My works have been displayed in many shows in India,United States,London, Egypt and Burma.
