I’m an independent modern artist. Now I’m based in Mauritius. I enjoy working with oil paints using contemporary techniques.
I’m a passionate surfer and traveler. These two passions have a great influence on my art. When you are in the ocean one on one with a powerful element, this gives an incredible emotional response and allows you to more acutely feel freedom and the beauty of the world around you.
My art is about the emotional, sensual reflection of the rational, about freedom and beauty around us. The study of sensations and emotions is embodied in the color, rhythm, or texture of the picture. I do not copy or decorate reality, but I am looking for ways to convey the sensations and states that a person experiences.
I am inspired by the diversity of nature on our planet, the amazing combinations of natural colors, light, and the power of the ocean and wind.
In abstract landscapes, I speak to the viewer through color and simplified forms. Another part of my work is a way to convey meanings through symbols created from familiar objects.
